27th April 2003 Following a direction from the 2001 AGM, a working group has developed a Strategic Plan to map out where we want our Club to go in the next few years. Last year a draft plan was presented to the Executive Committee for consideration. Following the recommendation of the working group, a cross-section of club members was convened to workshop and discuss the document. The working group developed the draft Plan through wide consultation with members, a survey was distributed inviting all members to provide feedback and an open forum was held. The club's strategic plan has now been finalised by the Board and is available to download (see below). The major thrust of the plan will be discussed at the AGM in July. Those that have read the draft will see that very little of substance has changed and that the vision for the club remains as per the draft. The four key strategic points are:

The Club Board recently met with senior officials from the Town of Cambridge, including CEO Graeme Partridge, and discussed the Club's plan as well as the Towns proposed foreshore redevelopment plans. It is fair to say that the town was very impressed with the level of work done by the club and the advanced state of the plan. They were strongly supportive of the general thrust of the plan and the role of the club in the community. |
