Building Development Project

The Town of Cambridge is undertaking a major development project at City Beach which incorporates a new surf club and commercial developments. The Club has been in lengthy discussions with the Council regarding the project scope and funding.

Following a positive member forum on Wednesday 13th March, the following two documents are p resented for information. The business plan demonstrates the thinking behind the focus on the larger 1790m2 footprint and the design shows how this may look. A big thank you to everyone that attended the meeting and rest assured the Executive and Building Sub Committee are working hard to achieve a great facility for now and the future.

Business Plan - Draft Floor Plan

The City of Perth SLSC wrote to the Town of Cambridge on 7 December 2012 requesting a reconsideration of their decision on the location of the public change rooms and toilets. Attached is a copy of our letter and the Town of Cambridge's 21 December 2012 reply.

This update is to bring members up to date on current negotiations and planning for the new club rooms. Overall the progress has been positive and we will continue to work positively with the Town to progress the remaining issues. A number of member forums will be held soon to discuss the new lease and to collect detail for the detailed design stage of the process.
