On Saturday 12th May, the club celebrated another great season and recognised a number of outstanding achievements and dedicated members. ![]() The night kicked off with guests arriving on the red carpet to the sounds of a four-piece ensemble from the WA Academy of Performing Arts. Guests were instantly shocked at the amazing transformation of the club hall. Red, black and white ceiling drapes and 360 degree black curtains turning the old trusty hall into a 5 star ball room. Aussie medallists, coaches and SLSWA Awards of Excellence finalist were all acknowledged along with 8 time Aussie Gold Medallist Alison O'Toole receiving yet another Warren Somerford Marathon win. Peter Scott, Paul Lilleyman, Brett Slocombe and Steve Bowler were all presented with SLSA 25 year medallions. Following a gourmet dinner, the night progressed to the main awards with numerous standing ovations and excited chitter chatter as the finalist were revealed.
