Last weekend Surf Life Saving WA presented its Awards of Excellence for the 2009-10 Season.
City had finalists in several categories, and Gabrielle Murphy won the Junior Athlete of the Year award for her season, which included two Australian Championships gold medals.
The evening also included inductions to the SLSWA Sporting Hall of Fame. City boaties Warren Somerford and Alan White were inducted, as was beach sprinter Bill Mattingley.
