Fun And Games To Finish The Season
March 29, 2010

The 2009-10 season ended on the weekend with our final patrols for the summer, a huge field in the club swim and some fun and games on the beach.

The last swim of the season even enticed Leigh Buchan to break out the speedos and prove to those who had wondered that he really doesn't dissolve if he comes into contact with sea water. Other highlights included spot prizes handed out to random finishers and Brittany Brymer's spectacular face-plant into the sand about a metre short of the finish line in the club run.

A few fun games followed led off by the Round-the-Sticks Choc Milk Challenge, and followed by the Tug-of-War (girls def. guys 2-1) and Pillow Fights, an event sadly deleted from the State and Australian Championships programs some years ago.

We then presented the club trophies for Aggregate Points and Club Championships, and the education awards for the year over a few sausages, before closing off the season and heading off to begin preparing for the next one.
