The "pre-States" State Championships events continued on the weekend, and City won another gold in the Champion Patrol competition.
With a mix of experienced commpetitors and first-timers on board, we had an Open and two Under 17 teams competing in the event, which tests the teams on theory, resus and a lifesaving task.
Both our Under 17 teams were made up of people doing the event for the first time. The team captained by Mundawae Sanderson-Green with team members Chantelle Green, Shelby Warren and Ryan Lilburne performed well and finished in the bronze medal position. The other team was captained by Honor Lane and included Katherine Law, Dennis Karoll and Jayden Rynhoud, and finished fifth.
Mundawae and Chantelle then joined the more experienced Eoghan McKenna, Josh Walker, Jess Cohen and captain Kim Lovett for the Open event, in which they won the gold.
