Hot And Busy Day Ends 2009 For Patrols
December 30, 2009

Our patrols have seen out 2009 with a hot and busy day at City on Monday.

With temperatures high and crowds to match, a second flagged area and outpost patrol was established at the northern end of the beach. There was no shortage of clients for the patrol members, with injuries treated including one dislocated shoulder, one head/spinal injury, two suspected broken noses and the usual other range of beach goers who never cease to amaze with what they can do...

The most popular piece of equipment on the day was the esky filled with ice and drinks, while the most impressive rescue was performed by two members who managed to convince Mr Whippy to donate enough icecreams for the entire patrol - including choc dipped and hundreds and thousands!

But the finest performance of the day was surely the member who climbed the tower to deliver the icecreams, ensuring no-one missed out.

As we move into 2010 all the best to all club members, and for those on patrol - if you're not having fun then you're not doing it right.
