Lisa Russ is paddling on the international stage again, representing Australia at the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Novia Scotia, Canada.
Paddling in the Women's K4 200 and 500 metre events, Lisa will be looking to match or better last year's Olympic bronze medal (in the 500 metre event).
City's Brett Slocombe is also at the championships as the Australian team physio, and Lisa will be sharing a boat with Scarboro SLSC's Alana Nicholls.
