Training has begun for our newest group of IRB crews and drivers, with the winter waves providing a perfect playground.
Crew training is being done first, which is giving some of our more experienced drivers the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in the challenging conditions left by the recent storms.
Once the crews are qualified in the next couple of weeks, some will then step up to the challenge of driving the boat in the surf and should be ready to boost our stocks of drivers for this summer's patrols.
