Education Team Boost Patrol Numbers
February 8, 2009

There are a number of new faces appearing on patrol, as our education team hit top gear.

Newly qualified lifesavers ready for their first patrol on Sunday
The careful planning that took place in the first half of the season is now paying off. In the past two weeks alone the club has gained another 34 Surf Rescue Certificates (mainly our U/14 Nippers graduating to qualified patrolling members), 21 Bronze Medallions and 14 Senior First Aid certificates.

These newly-qualified members have already begun to perform active patrol duties, giving a timely boost to our current patrol teams and helping ease the workload all round.

All of the trainers and assessors involved are to be congratulated for their efforts. They haven't finished yet, with one more bronze and SRC course to be run this season.
