Annual General Meeting
16th May 2008

The Annual General Meeting will be held at 9:00 am, Sunday 15th June 2008 at the club.

Nominations and expressions of interest for club officers, standing committee members, and club position holders, in the 2008/2009 season are now called for. Completed nomination forms are required to be returned to the club by 5:00 pm, Sunday 25th May 2008.

There are proposed changes to the constitution and by-laws to be voted upon at the AGM this year, some of which relate to club officers and their duties. Members wishing to nominate for a position as a club officer should therefore review the proposed changes before submitting a nomination.

Club Officers
Nominations are now being called for club officers to be elected at the AGM as follows:

    Existing Club Officers (no change)
    • President
    • Vice President
    • Director of Finance
    • Club Captain
    • Secretary
    • Chief Instructor
    • Patrol Officer
    • Surf Sports Officer
    Proposed Club Officers (subject to outcome of proposed constitutional changes)
    Members wishing to nominate for proposed club officer positions should review the positions as detailed in the document “Proposed Constitution Amendments” and contact an existing member of the Executive Committee for further clarification if required.
    • Youth Development Officer
    • Membership Officer
    • Junior Officer
    • Member Development Officer

Note: Members should be aware that the club officer positions of

    • Youth Development Officer and Membership Officer
      OR
    • Member Development Officer and Junior Officer
      OR
    • Youth Development Officer, Membership Officer and Junior Officer
will exist following the resolution of the proposed constitution change.

Junior Officer will become a club officer if the proposed constitution change is approved.

Members wishing to nominate for an existing AND/OR proposed position should submit ONE nomination form per position.

Standing Committees

Nominations are called for members of the following committees to be elected at the AGM:

  • Judiciary Committee (3 Past Presidents), Chairperson to be elected
  • Life Membership Committee (5 Life Members), Chairperson to be elected
