Last Saturday Surf Life Saving WA held their annual Awards of Excellence dinner, and City members were again honoured.
We had nominees in several categories, and City members were selected as the winners in the following:
- Athlete of the Year - Alicia Marriott
- Junior Athlete of the Year - Ben Carrick
- Order of Merit - Patrolling Lifesaver - Robbie Somerford
Robbie was also inducted into the SLSWA Sporting Hall of Fame, in recognition of a competitive surfboat career which includes an Australian Championship, a World Championships, and ten State Open Surf Boat Championships.
Congratulations to the winners, and to all members who were nominated.
