We have a HUGE month of member recognition coming up. It's time to mark these important dates in your diary, brush off your glad rags, prepare your acceptance speeches and get your tickets early.
First up is the club Awards Night on Friday 11th May starting at 6:00pm. This night is open to all members and family and entry is free. A variety of awards and trophies are presented, including Club Champs, Most Patrol Hours, education awards, trophy swims and events. Finger food is provided.
Next up is the final club event for the year. The Club Annual Dinner is on Saturday 19th May, starting around 6:30pm. Ticket prices (usually around $55.00) and final starting times will be advertised soon. The night is a formal affair and we all get to swap our bathers for stylish dresses and swish suits. The event is a sit down dinner and we will see the presentation of the major club awards, including Best Club Member, Coach, Educator, Administrator, u15, u17, u19 of the Year. We will also acknowledge our Australian Medalist and other significant achievements. The big tip this year is to get your tickets early as numbers are limited. Finally we will see our club's high achievers strive to be named the best in their field at the SLSWA Awards of Excellence, on Saturday 26th May. Once again the night is a formal affair and our well dressed members get to strut their stuff with lifesavers from around the state. Please see here for more information. This year the club will be providing a 50% subsidy to all finalist and you will be advised soon by SLSWA if you have been named as a finalist. Tickets do sell out fast and it would be great to see the club well represented.
