Members, you are being summonsed!!

On Saturday 17th March in this The Year of The Surf Lifesaver our club is having a celebration of legends past and present.

We have achieved a great deal over the years and had many firsts in surf in Australia and Western Australia.

On the Saturday before the Aussies return to Scarborough we invite all members, past and present to come and reflect and share in some of our historical moments, both in the surf and out of it.

We have assembled a fantastic collection of old and new photographs, super eight movie and video of some of the most exciting bits of City of Perth Surf Club sporting and social history ever to be shown on one event.

And what's more important we are going to do it in a way that will enable everyone present plenty of time to talk to each other about their own recollections of the great times members of our mighty club have shared together over the years.

There will also be a couple of interviews and stories told about things past and present. (Have you heard the one about the boys fishing for sharks out of the surf boat using a sheep's carcass as bait and a harpoon rifle to secure the catch?)

There will be cocktail food available at the cost of $20 per person and the bar will be open. The show begins with an arrival time of 3.30 pm planned and then the Presidents Welcome about 4.30. Details of the "entertainment" side of the party are being fined tuned as you read this article and will be circulated closer to the date.

Act now! Book the date in your diary and advise one of the following of your attendance so we can advise the caterer and stock the bar!

If have any old videos or photos that you think we could use, contact Jeff Scott
